The Basement Tapes are tapes that can be collected in Yandere Simulator.
They are located in the basement, and can be played in the Computer Lab. They are part of the game's lore and explain more in detail what happened with Ryoba Aishi, Jokichi Yudasei, and The Journalist. Only two are available so far, but more may be implemented soon.
At the end, it is implied that the reason Ayano Aishi's parents are on a 10-week holiday is because of the Journalist and Ryoba's desire to "find" and possibly murder him.
Location[]
Currently, there are only 2 basement tapes. However, it was stated by YandereDev that in the future when the full game is released, the player will have the ability to find a basement tape every time they kidnap a victim.
