Inside it is a white elevated platform in the middle with easels and chairs surrounding it. There are more easels without chairs put together in some corners of the room. There are also a few bookshelves and posters throughout the room. This room will be used for classes and school usage.[1] In the future, it is possible that the player may be able to obtain a painting knife from this room.[2]

Main Article: Rival-chan

Rival-chan is a placeholder character for Osana Najimi. Her AI is incomplete; therefore, she does nothing but stand in one spot. Info-chan won't be able to identify her. By pressing the Space key, she will cycle through several different animations. If the player uses debug commands to change uniforms, or goes through "New Game" from the main menu, then Rival-chan will also have her clothes changed.

Main Article: Rivals

Rivals are the main antagonists of Yandere Simulator. They are the most important people to eliminate, as they all have a crush on Senpai. If the rival is not eliminated by the end of the week, they will confess their love to Senpai under the Confession Tree behind the school on Friday and will result in a Game Over. The ten rivals have not been implemented yet, except for Oka Ruto, but only for the purpose of testing club functionality.

Main Article: Police

Police are upcoming NPCs in Yandere Simulator. In current builds, they are mentioned at the end of the day results if Yandere-chan alerts a person so that they call them. The police only have technology that can detect biometric information on non-organic materials, such as weapons and clothing.[4]

Yandere-chan's Parents

Ryoba Aishi is Yandere-chan's mother and the wife of Yandere-chan's father. Yandere-chan's father's real name is currently unknown. He and his wife are out of the country for ten weeks in Story Mode because he and his wife are chasing down The Journalist, as said in Basement Tape #10. Both will be a character in the 1980s Mode as students attending Akademi High. They are yet to be implemented.


Main Article: Teachers

All of the teachers of Akademi High are currently not fully programmed. They will go about a basic routine of grading papers in the faculty room and teaching class, except for Kyoshi Taiso. Kyoshi switches between standing by the school gate and being in the faculty room. These routines will only be interrupted if the teachers are called out by a Teacher's Pet or if they are chasing Yandere-chan. In the future, the teachers will have proper routines.

Headmaster's Tapes

The Headmaster's Tapes are a series of tapes that will elaborate on The Headmaster and the lore of the school. Only three of are implemented, so not much is known about them. They can be played in the Computer Lab.

Challenges are achievements that the player can strive to complete by eliminating rivals in as many different ways as possible. The player can access the Challenges screen through the calendar menu. They are not properly implemented yet.

The endings are cutscenes of Yandere Simulator that will occur after defeating the final rival.[6] It is confirmed that there will be multiple endings that will range from happy, to sad, to bittersweet, to confusing.[7]


Fire Extinguishers

Fire extinguishers are located on all floors near the bathroom. They are not fully implemented yet. In the future, they will be able to be picked up and be used as bludgeoning weapons. [8]

Restraining Bed

A restraining bed will eventually be implemented into the game, but it is unknown what its use will be.[9]

Rain Coat

In the future, Yandere-chan will be able to wear a rain coat in order to prevent blood from getting on her uniform.[10] Currently used for Hunger Mode.

There are currently four planned modes.[11] All of the modes, excluding Story Mode, will be inaccessible in the demo.[12]

1980s Mode

In this mode, the player gets to play as Yandere-chan's mother. The gameplay will be harder due to lack of Info-chan, smartphone, and stricter school rules.[13]

Endless Mode

Main Article: Endless Mode

This mode features a randomly-generated high school, randomly-generated students,[14] and randomly-generated rivals,[15] unlike Story Mode, where all of these mechanics are pre-determined and will always be the same on every playthrough.

Custom Mode

This mode follows the same path as the original Story Mode, but the player is able to customize students, rivals, and the school however they would like.[16]
