Witness-chan was one of the female students in Yandere Simulator.

Appearance

Witness-chan wore the default female school uniform.

Witness-chan also had long scarlet hair that she wore in twintails and scarlet colored eyes. Witness-chan also sported Saki Miyu's first hairstyle with a different color. Her bust size was 1.[1]

Unlike Victim-chan's appearance, which was based on an existing character, Witness-chan's appearance was picked because red is usually connected with doing something bad and the hairstyle was big to further show the red, according to YandereDev.

Scenes

Witness-chan first appeared in the "How to Get Away with Murder in Yandere Simulator" video. In the video, she witnesses Victim-chan being murdered by Yandere-chan. She then runs out of the school and calls the police. Later on in the video, Yandere-chan murders her in order to prevent her from doing certain witness actions depending on her persona, and leaves her corpse, along with her weapon and uniform lying around on school grounds in order to be used as incriminating evidence to the police. This causes Yandere-chan to be arrested by the police due to the murder she committed without disposing of the evidence.

She briefly appeared later in the January Osana Progress Report - Part 1 video, where she witnesses Yandere-chan poisoning Osana Najimi's bentos.

Personality

Witness-chan had the Coward persona, which has been renamed into the Loner persona on December 1st, 2015. As of February 1st, 2016, the Coward persona has been added back into the game, but with a different function.

Routine

Witness-chan had a different routine from all the other students, being placed at the front of the school so she would be able to see Victim-chan's death. Her routine includes standing in a corner where she could witness Victim-chan being murdered.

Removal

Along with Victim-chan, Witness-chan was fully removed from the game. YandereDev has said they were removed because they both only existed for the sake of demonstrating a gameplay feature in one video and that they weren't fully fleshed out characters.[2] While not being able to find both of them in the game, their existence can be proven by looking at the JSON file from some old builds (from March 1st, 2015 to April 8th, 2015) and in the video, "How To Get Away With Murder In Yandere Simulator".

It is impossible to meet both of them in the game because they are already removed.

Trivia

  • YandereDev may add her along with Victim-chan back in the final version of the game, because he's planning to have at least 100 students.[3]
    • However, it is extremely unlikely, as she was never meant to be perceived as a real character.[4]
  • While removed from the game as a character, her model can still be found within the game files.
  • She was the first character to have the traumatic expression after witnessing murder.
